Build and Design:
The Redmi Note 7 series features what Xiaomi calls its 'Aura' design approach which results in both the
phones looking much more rounded.Pick the phone up and you’ll realise that the glass also makes the
phone feel dense, which adds to how premium the phone feels. The size of the phone remains the same
and is slightly heavier than the Redmi Note 6 Pro,so the form does feel familiar. There is a camera bump
on the back which could be an issue if you place the phone on a flat surface and the polished glass back
does pick up a lot of dust and fingerprints.

Display:
The Redmi Note 7 Pro gets a 6.3-inch LTPS LCD display which happens to be ever so slightly larger
(0.03-inches) than its predecessor. The smaller notch also means a few more pixels, so the resolution now
stands at 1080 x 2340 pixels with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. This is what the redmi like to call a dot notch
which is nothing but a water drop notch styled to maximize the usable display.
Redmi also says that the phone’s display works well even in bright sunlight, though we will only be able
to tell that when we have the review units in hand.
Redmi Note 7 Pro has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and back, but the glass body does mean the
phone will be slippery and prone to smudges.
Processor,RAM and storage:
The Redmi Note 7/7 Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor with an 11nm FinFET
design. It comes with the Adreno 612 GPU from Qualcomm. Snapdragon 675 SoC, which is not only
more capable than the Snapdragon 660 chipset but as per Xiaomi’s claims, also manages to trump the
superior Snapdragon 710 chipset on benchmarks.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro is being bundled with LPDDR4X RAM in 4GB and 6GB options coupled with
64GB or 128GB storage. The Redmi Note 7 is bundled with RAM 3GB and 4GB options coupled with
32GB or 64GB storage.
Storage can be further expanded up to 256 GB via a microSD card, but unlike the Redmi Note 6 Pro, the
Redmi Note 7/7Pro does not feature a dedicated card slot. The Redmi Note 7 Pro happens to be the first
phone from the Xiaomi stable to run Android Pie-based MIUI 10.
Camera:
The camera is the highlight of the phone and the reason behind is the dual-camera setup on the back of
the phone. We saw Honor tout it’s 48 MP camera on the Honor View 20 and now it’s Xiaomi’s turn. The
Redmi Note 7 Pro features a 48 MP f/1.8 primary lens on the back aided by a 5 MP f/2.4 secondary lens.
The camera does not come with OIS though, and has EIS for video stabilization. It can also shoot at 4K
at 30fps. The front camera is 13MP with AI Portrait mode, option to see Studio Lighting effect, etc.

Battery and Conectivity:

Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 4000 mAh battery, coupled with Qualcomm Quick 4.0 support.QC4 rated
chargers, though, aren’t readily available in India yet and Xiaomi doesn’t add one in the box either. It is
their first phone in this segment to have a Type-C charging port.

Conclusion:

Redmi Note 7 series made lot of big promises and hype flagship like performance and 48mp camera at
this aggressive pricing definitely
help to compete against Realme 3, Asus Zenfone Max pro M2,Samsung M series and Realme 2 Pro.
